BuzzFare

Get Around

Get Around tickets give unlimited travel on all Go North East services (except for our Night Buses, which have an ‘N’ prefix) – including evenings and weekends!

In Tyne & Wear:
  Nexus TW child single fare increased to 50p and available all day to Nexus Under 16 card holders only.
  New Nexus Under 16 All Day Ticket (known as a CAT ticket) introduced, valid all day on all bus operators and Metro in Tyne & Wear. Priced at £1 and only available to Nexus Under 16 card holders.
  Nexus child Transfare tickets previously available to Nexus Under 16 card holders is withdrawn and replaced by the Nexus CAT day ticket.
  The Go North East 80p child single fare and £1 child Transfare which is available to those who appear under 14 and not in possession of a Nexus Under 16 card remain unchanged.

In County Durham
No change to child fares during the day.
New 80p flat fare after 1700 Monday to Friday to all under 14 and those with a Durham IIC card. This does not include weekends.



Orbit

the ORBIT 51 and 52 buses give regular and reliable links to many places in and around Gateshead, including Deckham, Carr Hill, Windy Nook, Felling Square, Heworth, Leam Lane Estate, Springwell Estate, Wrekenton, Easedale Gardens, Kell's Lane, Dryden Road and Gateshead

 

Orbit Switcha

Costing £1.70 and letting you hop on any Go North East service between Gateshead and Newcastle. You can then choose your connecting service and take your pick of stops in Newcastle city centre, including Eldon Square, Central Station, Pilgrim Street and John Dobson Street.

 

Orbit single

A new, great value adult single fare of £1.20 will take you anywhere in the Gateshead, Heworth, Leam Lane, Wrekenton and Dryden Road areas on the Orbit routes.


 

TEN
£11 weekly ticket offering unlimited travel along the whole of the route - can also be used on X11, also Blaydon Racer buses 31 and 32 between Blaydon and Newcastle.

 

10 journey ticket
For £13, you can make 10 journeys on the TEN anywhere along the route from Rockwood Hill to Newcastle, or on the X66 from MetroCentre to Gateshead.


Citylink

If you are a regular traveller on Citylink 58, take advantage of our 7 day unlimited travel ticket for £11. Not valid on night bus N58.


Sunderland City Area

We now have a new maximum single fare of £1.50 and a short hop fare of £1 - great for one off trips ! These fares apply to journeys within our Sunderland City area which stretches from as far as the A19 in the west and the city boundary in the north and south.

For just £2.80 you can travel all day on Go North East buses in Sunderland from as far as the A19 in the west and the city boundary in the north and south - weekly tickets also available.


Angel
Angel Saver - 7 days unlimited travel for £17

Travel more for less with our angel saver. Available from the driver on the day of travel, this ticket offers unlimited travel on the angel services 21 and 22 (excludes night bus N21).

Cruysader

Crusader Weekly Saver - £9 for 7 days unlimited travel on routes 27 and 27A.

Jarrow / Monkton Lane to Newcastle £2.20 single or £2.70 return.
South Shields to Newcastle £2.70 single or £3.80 return.

Magic Roundabout

£1.10 for a single short hop journey or unlimited travel on services 33 · 42 for 7 days with a £7 roundabout ticket.


£3 Bargain Return Fare
Between Blyth and Whitley Bay on services 308 and 309.


Saltwell Park
If you are a regular traveller on these services, save even more with a Saltwell Weekly Saver for £8. With this ticket you can make as many journeys as you like!


MetroCentre Return

Travel from Newcastle City Centre or Gateshead Interchange to MetroCentre for £2.90 return. Single fare £1.90.


Transfares

If you’re making a one off journey in Tyne and Wear which involves changing between Go North East buses, Metro and Shields Ferry a Transfare ticket will save you money.


Explorer North East

Ideal if your journey will include travel on another bus operator, Metro or Shields ferry. Explorer tickets offer one day’s unlimited travel from Berwick to Whitby on a number of different bus operators, Shields ferry and Metro.
